About Me
Hi, I’m Amy Abramson, the maker behind Thymely Knits. I help knitting designers publish patterns with complete confidence.
My background is rooted in the Medical Laboratory Science field. We are an analytical, exact, and detailed lot. And at first glance, a sterile medical lab and a cozy basket of yarn seem like entirely different worlds—but to me, they’re not.
Both follow strict formulas, and use precise, repeated steps to achieve a result—whether making a chemical reagent or a sweater. It was only a matter of time before I figured out that I could take these same lab skills and apply them to knitting…
I found the best of both worlds in technical editing.
I still love the magic of creating and watching a sock grow stitch by stitch, but my new mission is to catch pattern errors before they reach a knitter’s needles. So, you do the dreaming and designing, I’ll handle the rest.
